Takes decisions with autonomy depending on his/her seniority.We are currently seeking our new Legal Manager for MEA French-speaking countries.Coverage: Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Ivory Coast and other countries in the International Division of Colas Rail as may be required

Profil

Mission: Advises the operational and other support departments of the company and makes proposals to limit the Group's legal and compliance risks. Takes decisions with autonomy depending on his/her seniority.We are currently seeking our new Legal Manager for MEA French-speaking countries.Coverage: Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Ivory Coast and other countries in the International Division of Colas Rail as may be required
Main responsibilities :: Participate in managing legal, contractual, compliance, and insurance matters for railway projects in the countries above-mentionned, including the creation, analysis, review, and negotiation of project-related documents.Participate in negotiating, drafting and/or reviewing legal documentation relating to all contracts in connection with railway projects.Support of project performance through effective contract management, with the assistance of Colas Rail's central contract management team.Participate in providing advice on legal issues relating to the Colas Rail presence in the countries above-mentionned.Participate in providing advice on contractual rights and obligations and on how to manage risks associated with contracts subject to applicable law.Participate in providing advice on how to manage risks associated with dispute resolution and pre-litigation issues in the fields mentioned above.Conduct legal research and studies on issues of law arising in connection with projects in the countries above-mentioned.Providing support in ethics and compliance programmes of the group.Cooperate actively with other services within Colas Rail, taking a proactive, solution-oriented approach.Keep up-to-date knowledge of the above-mentioned countries' legislation, regulations and jurisprudence.
Your profile :: Master's degree in Construction law.Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in any construction law field, preferably in the railway. Litigation experience would be an advantage.Solid knowledge of civil law fundamentals.Proactive in seeking innovative problem solutions and making proactive suggestions.Experience in advising and drafting legal documentation in the above-mentioned fields in French and English.Detail-oriented and ability to manage work independently.Strong interpersonal skills and strong assertiveness and negotiation skills.Ability to articulate complex legal matters.Fluency in written and spoken English and French is required. Knowledge of spanish would be an advantage.
